Fundraising - There are 2 types of fundraising - Student Credits & General Fundraising for the choir Fundraising for the Student’s Credit account -These accounts allow students to put aside credits that can be used for the student’s own requests for funding of choir related items: voice lessons, uniform fees and trips, etc. Please note that these credits will be held in the student’s name as long as they remain a within the district or graduate. All funds must be used no later than June 30th after the student graduates. Any unused credits will not be paid out to the student, but revert to the WLW ChoirBoosters’ Scholarship Fund. Please refer Student Credit section of the website for additional detailed information. Student Credit Account Fundraisers - Hillers offers a 5% return from money you load on your rechargeable card purchased through the Choir Boosters! You ‘load' your usual grocery shopping money on the card right at the register before you start your check out. Then simply use your card to pay for your groceries. You are virtually running your monies through a card that is registered in your name. Your student’s account earns 4% and the Choir Boosters earn 1%. Cards are available by contacting Annette Rzeznik. Gift Cards throughout the year puts money in your child’s account! - Major retailers want to give us money! It works at no cost to you while you do your usual shopping. When cards are purchased by members of the Choir Boosters through Great Lakes Scrip Company, participating retailers offer substantial discounts with some percentages up to 25%! The Choir Boosters purchases the card at a discount and that is how we generate revenue. In return, 1% percent is put into the choir booster account and the remainder goes directly into your student’s account.Go to http://www.glscrip.com and select the retailers link for a complete listing. Send completed Gift Card Order Form and money to Annette Rzeznik. Gift Card Example: Applebee’s offers an 8% discount. You buy an Applebee’s gift card for $25.00. The gift card is worth $25.00. However, the retailer provides you (us) a discount of 8% when buying the Applebee’s gift card. One percent of the total 8% ($0.25) goes into the general choir booster account and 7% ($1.75) is deposited into your student's account. GLS Gift Card Order Dates - Orders go in every other Tuesday starting on October 5, 2010. Place order no later than 7:00 pm on Monday evening with Annette Rzeznik. Gift cards are ready for pick up in approximately 2 business days. An order form and additional information has been included in this packet for your convenience Got Questions? Remember only cards purchased through the Choir Boosters can be credited to your child’s account.
