An
excellent choral program cannot be successful without the support of
the parents of students in the program. The Choir Boosters Executive
Board can't do it all. We welcome and value the involvement of parents
in a variety of capacities. It's parents like you, who are willing to
help out in a small or a large way that makes Western's Choirs what
they are!

Here are some of the more needs that take place each year. Check back often to see if their is a way that you might help out:
UNIFORM VOLUNTEER MANAGER-
To oversee the process of fitting and dressing all of the choir
students in choir uniforms. Oversee the managing of the uniform
inventory. This job really is important in the fall and then the late
spring.
Concert Volunteer Manager -
At every concert we strive to have adult ushers, back stage assistance,
choir chaperones and ticket sales. We need a person who will round up
help for each concert or choral event. A list of volunteers and their
email addresses would be provided.
Festival Chaperones -
In March and April we send all of our choirs to both district and state
choir festivals. These are some important benchmark related
performances for the students. Our school district demands that we
have a certain number of adult chaperones for each choir. Parents who
have been able to take off work and spend the day as a chaperone have
reported that they completely enjoyed watching the choirs and their own
children perform at such high levels. We will need a Chaperone Manager
for these two events. Plus, 4 to 8 parents per each choir.
Other, less involved areas include:
CD Day Fund Raiser Chaperone
Ushering at concerts
Selling CDs at concerts
Helping with fundraisers
Organizing parent-run fundraisers
If you are interested in any of these events or areas, please email the Choir Boosters
and let them know how you might asist in one of these areas. Or, just
let them know another creative way that you might be able to assist in
our Western Choir program.
